Stephanie Gimenez Stahlberg
I am a Ph.D. candidate in International Relations at the Johns Hopkins University - School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and Associate Researcher at Stanford University's Poverty | Violence | Governance Lab.
My research is on the political economy of development, with a focus on the dynamics of crime and violence in Latin America and the Caribbean.
I employ mixed methods in my work, including surveys, experiments, statistical analysis and econometrics, interviews, and focus groups. I have collaborated as a consultant with USAID, the World Bank, and Social Impact.
I am originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science, and from Stanford University with an M.A. in International Policy Studies.
